In the opening of 3rd IASBS Symposium in "Protein Folding and Stability" that was held in Zanjan, Iran at November 2-4, 2017, Professor Ali A. Moosavi-Movahedi the  Dean of Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran and the President of Iran Society of Biophysical Chemistry presented short talked in inauguration session entitled " Worth of Intermediates in Protein Folding''. The highlights of his talk were: Proteins are responsible for nearly every task of cellular life; Protein is the life machine; the protein flexibility allows the construction of biological machines; Intermediates are often the critical species in mis¬folding processes that lead to aggregation and disease; Protein surfactant interactions help us to recognize the protein sub-structures and sub-sites and also crucial ligand for trapping the intermediates in protein folding/unfolding; the advantage of surfactant is because of direct binding with protein; Intermediate in protein folding should be in short stage such as femto, atto, zepto seconds . This speech was welcomed by everyone.
