Green House and Cultivation
Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics (IBB) as an advanced and prestigious research institute in Iran is well equipped for research in the different aspects of plant biology. The institute houses a greenhouse and two growth chambers suitable for growing plants under controlled conditions. Currently the laboratories of Plant Cytogenetics and Genomics & Epigenomics (LGE) from IBB collaborating with Halophyte and C4 Plants Research Laboratory (School of Biology) in the field of native flora of Iran. The investigations are specially focused on the plants growing under harsh environments (halophytes and C4 plants) and those which are economically important such as medicinal plants.
