Dr. Ali Akbar Mousavi Mohadi, the head of the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the University of Tehran, at the opening of the laboratory (iBL) which was held in the presence of a group of professors and researchers of this center, appreciated the activities carried out in the purchase of equipment and the development of laboratory infrastructure, and pointed out the importance of interdisciplinary technologies and emphasized the complementary role of engineering and basic sciences and the need for scientific exchange between these fields.
The interesting thing about this laboratory is the presence of students from different fields such as biophysics, physics, biology, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and veterinary medicine in this laboratory, which will facilitate scientific exchanges and interdisciplinary activities in this center and laboratory.
In addition to having all cell culture facilities such as CO2 incubator, laminar hood, centrifuge and microfuge, and time-lapse imaging system, this laboratory has all kinds of devices required in the field of biomechanics and bioelectronics, such as equipment related to microfluidic systems, FDM and SLA 3D printers. Square and exponential pulse electroporation device and various types of DC and AC power sources are also equipped.
