Majid Mahdavi currently works at the Molecular Biology Laboratory. Majid does research in Cancer field. The primary focus of our research lab is investigating molecular mechanisms of tumor development and progression. We have applied different human cancer cell lines to comprehensively understand the cell death signal transduction pathways in order to integrate this knowledge into strategies to effectively and specifically kill cancer cells for therapeutically purposes.

Research Interests
Currently, we are working on the cytotoxicity, apoptosis-inducing activity and molecular docking of the different synthetic compounds, mimetic compounds, antibiotics, nanoparticles, as well as natural products (from medicinal plants and Bacteria) in human cancer cells. We are working on the effect of antibiotics and also natural products on various cancer cell lines and animal model, as well as evaluation of their molecular mechanism in human cancer cells.
