      Parisa Ebrahimi is an assistant professor at the department of Biochemistry at the University of Tehran. She received her Ph.D in Chemistry in 2021 from State University of New York at Albany where she did her thesis work in the Computational Biophysical Chemistry lab at the RNA Institute with Alan A. Chen, department of Chemistry. Her thesis centered on modelling AGO2-miRNA interactions in collaboration with the NMR Dynamics lab of Katja Petzold at Karolinska. Parisa's udergraduate degree was in chemistry from Shiraz University, (B.A.2013).

Research Interests

 

  • Biomolecular simulations, predicting structure and folding pathway of biomolecules

 

  • Developing computational methods for understanding how the structural dynamics of RNA relates to its function.

 

  • Developing simulation methods using & interpreting experimental inputs that ultimately reveal experimentally unseen events.
